You drink heavily. Each week, you notice your alcohol consumption level rising. And as your alcohol tolerance level increases in tandem, you find yourself caught in a trap from which there seems no escape: the more you drink, the more you can drink; and the buzz that alcohol gives you only comes over you if you imbibe a huge amount (i.e. a couple of pints “Just won’t do it, mate”).
You know you need to do something about your problem
…But it’s your problem that’s stopping you from taking that step. This is exactly the situation Shelley – a Scarborough-based mature student – found herself in three years ago: “Back then, my life was a mess. Over time, I’d lost my marriage, friends and eventually my job, all because of my binge drinking. Drink turned me into a monster. Everyone ignored my phone calls, e-mails and texts. In the end, I had no one. No one at all.”
Finding herself so isolated, Shelley couldn’t see how she could somehow seek help for her alcohol abuse: “I mean, how could I realistically do that when I was permanently drunk? I thought that if I contacted a Rehab Treatment Clinic I wouldn’t be able to coherently explain myself to the people there; I wouldn’t be able to get across my position, how I felt about it, how desperately I wanted to change.”
Here to help (not to judge)
If you’re struggling with alcoholism, to find out about alcohol addiction treatment options you don’t need to be able to lucidly and powerfully articulate your feelings, worries and specific needs i.e. in a highly detailed way. Picking up the phone, dialling 0845 680 4902 and simply saying that you have a problem with alcohol and need help is all you’d need to do. You’d be under absolutely no obligation to enrol on a treatment programme, and 100 per cent discretion and confidentiality would be guaranteed.
The team of friendly professionals at Rehab Treatment UK will:
· Advise you of all the options available
· Suggest a facility that’s both right for you and suited to your budget
· Assist with an admission to the best Alcohol Addiction Treatment Programme for you to get your life back on track – to give you the freedom to live again
Getting help is easy
“Admission being stress-free meant I could take the second step towards addressing both the physical withdrawal and psychological issues surrounding my addiction, without feeling under intense pressure,” Shelley explains. “The first step – actually making initial contact with the Rehab clinic – was, in my experience, where the high level of care began. When I eventually plucked up the courage to dial the number, the lady who answered completely put me at ease. She didn’t in any way make me feel as though, through becoming an alcoholic, I’d done something wrong, or that I was some sad case in society.”
